First Girlfriend

Yes that's right, believe it or not (I still kinda don't) but I have my first girlfriend. I'm 18, she's 19, and the amount we have in common and the similar ways in which we think are really amazing - so much so that I said yes (against all my logic and reason) when she asked me out (though it did take about 7 days to convince myself) - such a lifestyle change! and I don't know about you guys, but I HATE the unknown...but I'm fully commited to making this work and I really think she's a great person.

I was always the guy who always looked at relationships negatively (weak, selfish, doomed to failure etc etc. - I'm sure some of you know what I mean here) but, as usual, things are so different now that I'm *inside* one.

So basically, I would just like any advice or tips or stories or *whatever* to help me in any way possible here. This being my first relationship (serious or not) and seeing as I have really no skills in this area (not to mention AS makes these things hard to pick up) I would appreciate anything you guys can bestow me with.

However, you asked for tips, so here are mine:

Be careful! My first real girlfriend turned into a real witch when she found out I didn't like sex.

If she changes herself just for you, be very careful because she could later find some other guy and tell him "Oh, my bf makes me do Y because he doesn't like X...he's so mean by forcing me to change..." even if she is the one who offered to change. (It happened to me.) Accommodating for you is one thing, but just be careful.

how cool, i know when i do finally get a girlfriend im taking her to the mountains to smell the fragrant trees. where we are going to be taking in all of the atmosphere, that day. after that who knows what will happen
