Well I never met an aspie girl before I guess ...only chated with some around the world. ....so I don't know if my judgement is biased .

I chatted with many of autistic guys and with autistic girls and I am trying to be objective despite that I am straight.

What I noticed that the autistic guys are really different and uniques from my NT freinds in their way of thinking and in their perspective to life and in and in their views toward the opposite sex .
In the opposite ,I noticed a small difference in aspie girls comparing with the NT girls .....they both have the same standards toward the opposite sex ....they both say that they care about personality but looks comes always first and this usually easy to detect even if they try to hide ....they both like the same actors ....again same standards .........
Now I noticed some aspie girls are wiser and more mature to their ages .....but I also chatted with wise NT young girls .

In fact I don't see big difference between aspie girls and NT girls ....

but again my judgement can be biased since I never met one for real.

so what do you think guys?

I am generally finding very little difference between Aspies and NTs except for developmental advances and delays.

Jeez. The girls are nothing like the guys, eh? Because aspie guys don't care about women's looks at ALL.

Right... tell me another one, LPP. ;)

(Glad to see you're okay and still posting, by the way!)

There are four possible explanations for this, besides the 'men are more likely than women...' explanation, because that's BS and we all know it:
1. AS is underdiagnosed in women
2. AS is overdiagnosed in men
3. AS doesn't exist
4. Everyone has AS

people don't know what they're talking about. perhaps it's the specific people you've spoken to? every girl i know (including myself) cares a certain degree about looks but personality is always the most important - who wants to end up with an as*hole who doesn't give a damn about the relationship even if he's the hottest thing around?

I've known aspie women IRL, I understand them better than I do NT women. But I feel the same goes for Aspie guys vs NT guys.

I think most doctors just misdiagnose Asperger's in women as PMS

I know 2 aspie girls, and think I might know another. One is very similar to NT's, just like you said. The other is radically different from NT's, but seems to be fighting being similar to them. The third, who is questionable, is also noticably different, although I think it comes natural to her.

She is expressing disbelief, as in "Tell me another make-believe story."

Yeah, that was sarcasm, LP. Don't get upset, it wasn't meant in a mean way. All I was trying to say is that aspie guys are at least as hung up on looks as girls are.

I'd even say they're MORE so than girls, although aspie guys are not as bad as NT guys. NOBODY'S as obsessed with appearance as NT men. :)

I haven't noticed any differences between NT women and Aspie women.
