Texting too much.

The other person will feel ignored and less special if their attention is being divided.

Texting too much? How about texting at all?

I hate when guys text instead of talking to you! Esp. when it's other girls they're texting.

I have children, so if I were to date I might have to at some point.

well, i might be bad as social cues, but i have enough brain to not do that.
i'd turn off my phone on all dates before we are going steady, unless i expect an important call, and then i'd inform my date right at the start that i'm expecting...

That won't be a problem if you are both Aspies who prefer written communication & are texting each other

I would say, don't pick up your cell while driving your date to dinner at a fancy restaurant, take a call from your ex and say "Oh, it's okay, I can talk for a few minutes. I'm just hanging out with a friend right now."

(Yes, a guy actually did this. I believe it was on our second or third date, though.)

Yes, it was. He also 'forgot' his wallet that night and I ended up paying for his dinner, too. He knew how to show a girl a good time, lol
