I often hear complaints here of these kinds:

"There's no good men in my city"

"All girls in my town are shallow"

"Men in xx state are shallow and idiots"

"women in my country are are ugly"

etc...

To all those who can't find a partner and are blaming their area for it: it's you, not the area.

The kinds of people you meet can very quite a lot by area thou. like for example if your a straight-edge Secular Humanist living in an area that's famous for partying Catholics like my area; the odds of meeting someone who your compatible with are a lot smaller

I live in a town of 2000 in rural Kentucky, so my odds of meeting someone around here are definitely lower than in other areas.

I definitely think there is something to this.

When I was active on OK Cupid, the vast majority of interest I received was from (liberal) LA and not (Conservative) Orange County where I live.

Yes, it is, in a country over 30 millions in population, you can still find plenty of men of your type.

But you are aware it's not that the problem. ;).

I can't blame my location. I've lived in four cities as an adult...two in the North (U.S.) and two in the South (U.S.). Girls didn't like me in any of them.

Good thing I wasn't drinking anything, because I was already laughing at the thread to begin with and this comment just made me laugh more.

They are just very common excuses.

It would understandable if one lives in some village of 1000 persons, but if one lives in a city of millions of people , then surely there will be various demographics and types of people there.
