I just spent the entire day people watching and I carefully observed what seemed to be the common traits of the guys who appealed to the greatest number of women:

1. 5'7" tall
2. Moderately overweight.
3. Goatee
4. Slightly balding
5. Prefers athletic style in shoes/hats
6. Polo shirts.
7. Fond of beer

Not really a tough goal to hit...

And where were you people watching?

In other words, average.

Just stopped to say I read this list like a Hugh Grant voiceover the way I do all your posts now. (Not aloud, I'm not sitting here reading posts aloud in his voice.)

You mean you actually go somewhere, sit down and just watch people?

Seriously though, those men are the most common. You will see more of them with partners.

Um go to the beach its not weird to people watch their more then likely their gonna be tanning so its not like their going to see you watching them

That's the point I was trying to make, by definition, most guys are average and so are most women, which gives average guys the best odds of finding someone similar - and as you can see, the average guy is no Calvin Klein model.

The problem is that I have none of these characteristics, so it makes it really difficult to figure out what kind of guy I am - I guess, anyway...

(it was at Disneyland BTW - the only time I am ever really exposed to crowds because I do it for my children's sake)

Well I am a guy that is very guarded I rarley show my feelings for women only because im so certin that their not the one for me because my heart never lies to me but the girl I have feelings for I know I could be happy with its just a feeling I have but a average guy could get with a really attractive girl i see it happen all the time just goes to show you looks are just skin deep

This is probably one of the best places to people watch in my opinion, as there is a nice mix of people from around the world and other parts of the country. This is where I had my epiphany that hair styles don't go out of date. They just move east until they hit the wave of hairstyles moving west somewhere just west of the Mississippi (joke) thus the reason for tornadoes in Oklahoma(/joke)

I also find it interesting how many people dress up to go to Disneyland.

1) that's almost a midget next to me...
2) define 'moderately', but i'd say no
3) clean shaven or x-day old untrimmed beard
4) not that old yet
5) no, just comfy shoes and no hats if i can help it
6) sometimes, but generic tees are more for me
7) just the social setting created by it

so... about 0.5/7; that's why i fail

THAT'S DISGUSTING! Especially the *shudders* polo shirts....I hate those...
Also, the overweight, balding, goatee, and beard is gross.
I wouldn't mind having someone shorter than me, though, because I would get to feel manly. As long as his leg hair isn't as long as mine...

Then again, I've only found about five males attractive, but I've found most females attractive. I'm mostly lesbian. But that description has to be the most disgusting male I've EVER heard of!
