I think anytime you ask a question like:

"Do [insert any demographic group] like [insert any particular physical characteristic]?"

You're going to get a misleading answer.

Some do, some don't - it depends on the person...

I am often attracted to small men, but I don't date them anymore. This is only because I'm tall, and my experience has been that men sooner get a complex about being shorter than me.

Well my father is a small man ( I think he is like 5ft 4) and he has had women left, right and center through out his whole life, its his attitude and personality to be different that makes women attracted to him and plus he's a hard working man, I look up to him a lot but he was never mean't to be a father, even I can tell by that but at least he is there to offer me support and help with life/women.

It honestly is all about loving yourself and being confident, I mean for me I know that the only thing I don't like about myself is my hips and stomach, even though I can hide my fat there quite well I'm still nervous when I sit down and that because then it shows (at least to me it does) and I think people pick up on that so that is something I have to work on, I just need to shred fat around my waist and I will be set.

If you are short (I dont think you are THAT short - we are about the same height) you better ask out women around your same height. In my experience women usually like men a little taller than them.

I know a short dentist with a bunch of ex-wives!

What exactly does that mean???

I'm pretty sure he isn't any taller than you are.

Couldn't care less, personally.

I'm 5'8.

I remember being in my early twenties and seeing a man walk down the platform of the commuter train station. He had brown hair, wore a trench coat and was average/attractive. I remember thinking - he's kinda cute. I had to look twice - he was around 5'0 or a bit shorter. But, ooooooh - he carried himself like he was a confident 6'2.

If he had sat beside me, started a conversation and we shared similar interests - I would have gone out with him

I've never heard of any women liking shorter men but I guess you never know. Most times women prefer the man to be taller than them. Like wise, I prefer the women to be shorter than me(but I'm 6"2 so that's not a problem). Nevertheless, height doesn't seem to be the most important thing because I don't really hear people talk about height unless they are ridiculously tall like say 6"8. But if you are 5"2, women who are say 5"9 probably wouldn't be a match. Maybe stick to the 4"10 to 5"4 range.

I defined "short" as "markedly outside a bell curve of average height for men", not "shorter than women".

Even then...yeah, I still don't care.

Do people actually reject people who don't fall within four inches or so of their own height?
Like...often?
