Improving your confidence and self-image requires an extended period of consistent daily effort: what did you do today to make yourself better than you were yesterday?

1. I hired a personal trainer
2. Cleaned my apartment.

I bought two awesome LP's :D

they'll probably keep me at home but at least it'll be a time well spent!

does that count as self-improvement?

Yay, personal trainer! I had one once, for about a year, and it was fantastic. You'll never look back. I'd do it again, in a heartbeat, if I had the money.

I realized today that although I desperately want to be a better parent than my parents were, I'm not sure I have it in me. But that realization gives me somewhere to go, which I think is an improvement.

Also, cleaned my apartment (still in the process), cleaned out my refrigerator, and I made some decisions about what to keep and what to chuck of all my extra "stuff".

Got Halloween finalized for my kids.

I'm looking forward to it, I am simply not meeting my objectives through my own efforts. It gives me a lot of hope - I don't understand why I didn't do it sooner...

I complimented a woman in my college class on her appearance and got chatting to her as a result. Does the old self-esteem a world of good. :P

oh and I also read a book about how to successfully get a job.

One more thing and then I'll shut up:

You'll absolutely love it. Well, if your trainer is good, you'll hate him/her sometimes, but in the end you'll feel better, more accomplished. And you'll probably learn new exercises you've never explored before. I got into boxing this way.

I have made several efforts to understand someone else´s point of view, I think that if I do this regularly and do it right I´d have an easier time understanding what went wrong in my next social failure and hopefully be able to sort things out with the other person.

I have also started looking for some things that may help with my social anxiety(somehow ended up on a IM conversation about my confidence issues with someone that had gone through something similar and she said that there are several things that could help so Im looking into the alternatives at the moment, trying to see which one seems like it would be more suitable).

Day 8 of new workout / food plan.

1. Doing either yoga or pilates every day, sometimes both.

2. Not gluten or dairy at all. Force feeding myself veggies.

3. Actually sleeping, I look less dead now.

Feeling great. Ohhh. And my house is finally clear, so you head is clear as well. I feel significantly less nuts.

Hmm.... good thread, I like the idea of it.


I have my habits and obligations that I'm already involved in, but not much point in goint there.


Today? Not really anything yet. I might get something done later like read more of a real-estate book, as for right now though I'm at work and - there's no work to be done, as its been for the past four or five weeks :(.
