Is there a reason why I am so attracted to Spanish woman?

I've never seen the appeal, myself. Mind you, I don't like Spain. Portugal is nicer. Nicer people and nicer beer.

Define "Spanish woman". Are we talking Catalunyan? Leonese? Latin American?

I'm assuming you're not talking about a specific type of woman you have met from Spain. Otherwise, you'd be talking about how you could get a permanent residency card.

FTR, having been to Spain, I think Spanish women are over-rated. Give me a French girl -- even the non-sexy ones are still a lark to fool around with.

I'm partly Spanish but I have more cultural ties to being British so I'd consider myself to be more of a Brit but British people instantly assume I'm from a foreign or Arabic descent when meeting me. I tend to find myself being more attracted to Italian and Spanish girls but it's not just the case of looks for me.

They have traditional based morals and they are healthier because they tend to grow organic foods rather than eat processed foods like much of the US. They also have a stronger cultural sense in who they are and the language which can be very appealing in the right circumstances and even better if they are old fashioned and traditional. They are very family orientated in many cases and more cultured, only 10% of Americans actually have passports and America as a nation tends to be politically correct and has the highest obesity rate in the world so it's very understanding you'd find a foreign girls more appealing.

Not sure what the appeal would be.

Sure there are some extremely good looking ones but there are also average and below average looking Spanish females.

Most of them are really nice, others are somewhat mean because they know some males will go after them no matter what they do.

Most of them are outgoing, dont see the appeal on that one but I guess it could be seen as a good thing by other people.

My point is generalizations are usually wrong and saying you want to date a Spanish female is pretty much like saying that you want to date a human girl. There are several different kinds of Spanish females and you are probably attracted to the stereotype youve seen in some movies/Penelope Cruz/whatever which doesn't usually fit the reality.

i have seen some as well
Having said that living in Spain for over 20 years I have also seen the complete opposite just as frequently... so i dont think that the generalization on the title makes much sense, thats all.

First off, Mexican does not equal Spanish. Some day, if you ever know any real Spanish or Hispanic people, you will have the race conversation. And it is weird. And detailed. And racist. And it ends with something to the effect of "Mexicans are hillbillies".

Second, we are often infatuated with what seems different and exotic. Foreigners are almost by default sexy. Trust me, having been the foreigner, it can and will get you laid.

There's nothing special about it. It's just a little impulse toward biodiversity that exists in the human sex drive.

very good point. i think sometimes people are attracted to some kind of stereotype they project onto certain cultural and racial groups. we romanticise how they are and somehow become attracted to the impression we get as opposed to the reality. i remember a girl of Asian background who used to post on the forums who spoke about that. she didn't like getting people going after her because they assumed she was a certain way due to her race.

I would think Spain to have an overall temperate climate, from what I've read.

This really depends where you are in Spain. The Costa del Sol region of Andalucia, Canary Islands and the twin cities of Ceuta and Melilla on the mainland African continent have considerably different temperatures to, say, Northern Spain.

I can tell you - from experience - that the Canary Islands are hot all year round, with only winter providing a brief bit of relief. Summer temperatures are 40+℃, with no rain and no respite. Hence the reason for the siesta there. Even when we go in November it's still around 25℃ most days.

Good point about the temperature change between areas. Aparently the worse part is madrid/central spain because they have extremely cold winters and extremely hot summers due to the lack of sea proximity.
Having said that siesta happens across all Spain and is just a part of our culture, not related to weather whatsoever(most spanish people still do it if they can when they travel abroad...).

You don't think it's related to the general warm weather of Spain and other Mediterranean and Latin American countries? I don't see it catching on in, say, Manchester or Copenhagen for instance.
