Aspies should go for immigrants

I've had a few girlfriends and hookups in the past and, save for one who was mentally ill, all of them were immigrants, especially immigrants from traditional cultures.

Immigrants and aspies are in the same boat because they are strangers in a strange land. They also tend to value certain aspie traits that mainstream American girls don't. They are also less likely to notice your quirkiness.

Have any other posters here had any luck with immigrant women?

Actually, my brother (NT) married an immigrant.

i understand where you are coming from and I have to say i have had a few 'immigrant' girlfriends and got along very well with them, I also have a lot of foreign or 'immigrant' friends in general as well. I do have a tendancy to get along well with them, but probably more because I would take the time to actually talk to them and treat them as more than just a novelty or exotic sexual conquest. None of them were were really fresh off the boat or anything though, most had been here for a few years and spoke english reasonably well.

I would certainly encourage interaction with people from other cultures, they do tend to be more forgiving of our 'faults' because both understand the other is of different culture and does things differently, so it's slightly more of a level playing field at first. In the long term it's harder to tell. After WW2 a lot of soldiers brought home foreign wives from Europe and Asia, however once the wives learned english and the local customs and so on, the divorce rate suddenly went up as the men realised the only reason they liked them was because they didn't nag all the time.

So yeah, foreigners are a good idea for sure, but not a guaranteed answer to your problems, and some can be manipulative users just after a visa or money so you have to be careful, lots of scams amongst the whole importing foreign wives thing.

Oddly enough, I have made a similar observation in the past. The girl I went to prom with was from South America. And, other girls that have indicated interest in me in the past have been either immigrants, or their parents are. Longtime WASP Canadians don't tend to be attracted to me.

Do Alaskans that moved to the mainland count?

Only if they have a similar culture .....

I have a theory, yet to be tested. You could be my guinea pig.

We have a lot of South African migrants here. It seems the whole population (regardless of colour or creed) wants to get out, but they have a hard time getting visas (translate = greencard). My theory is that any single person of marriageable age would attract the opposite sex like bees to a honey pot. You could be their ticket out. and with so many to choose from, you can pick someone from a similar background as yourself, whom you can fall in love with.

There are so many NZ men moving to Australia for work (Kiwis & Aussies can travel very freely b/w each other) that there is a shortage of single men. Go to NZ. Don't look for an emmigrant, be one.
