Just seeing who else is out there in the midwest. Feel free to post about yourself!

I am a straight 28 year old male from Chicago.

I work in the theatre industry and my passions are plant biology, politics, and physics. I am 5' 11" with brown hair and eyes. I am more big than fat.

I hope to hear from an intelligent, independent gal and see where things go...

...ima guy (straight)

I live in missouri. My grandparents live in a suburb of chicago, possibly (probably won't though) live with them for a bit.

I'm from Saint Louis, Missouri. Chicago's probably a bit better than Saint Louis, but I feel that, especially having Asperger's syndrome, young adult males with more exotic or esoteric interests are out of luck romantically. Saint Louis in particular is a town that thrives on its sports, its beer, and its bedroom communities for raising a family.

Hello,

I'm a straight male in Columbus, Ohio, and have Asperger's. I understand your frustration. Columbus is all about Buckeyes, other sports, drinking, etc., none of which interest me. My interests are environmentalism, philosophy, ghost hunting, and other non-Midwestern interests. It really sucks, being in a city this big, and not being able to find anyone with similar interests my age who is interested.

I'd also love to hear from an intelligent, interested gal.

Yeah, the car and sports culture of the midwest is strong. I never got it and never will. The world could be on fire and sports headlines and draft picks will dominate the front page.

I actually love sports. The way baseball and football statistics and evaluation metrics have changed and evolved since sabremetrics was developed is amazing. Football is almost entirely a game of percentages now. Sporting events are the only time I feel comfortable in a crowded social setting as well. I don't have season tickets for the Bears or Cubs, but I do like to see one or two games a year.

I watch mizzou football and basketball and the superbowl. And a little bit of march madness.

And like playing almost any game.

So far it seems like this topic would do better in social and friends

Give it some time and lets keep this up. I love the idea of eligible odd-bods, but it wasn't geographically specific. I figure we stand a higher chance of actually finding someone in this thread so long as we keep it going!

Say a little more about yourself. I enjoy lots of different music genres, some of the bands I have playing right now are Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Murder by Death, Hank Williams the 3rd, Reverend Horton Heat, Tool, Pin Floyd... I love video games, rpgs, sports, some fps (Call of Duty Zombies and Battlefield), and I was always pretty good at Tetris :D .
