In reference to the AS relationship topic. I am hoping an AS/AS relationship will work, I would like to announce that I have one with Mockingbird. We have been chating it up for about 3 months now. And have much the same ideals and experiences. And we both have a similar sense of humor, and easy going attitudes. We have found that we also have a similar communication style and understand each other very well. But there are many differiences between us. These differiences may work to our benefit, though.

We both strongly believe that Dating is pretty much worthless... and have choosen a Courtship path to our relationship. So right now we are persuing a very close friendship, but future marriage is always on our minds. In the online sense of things we are a couple though.

Even though we both have AS, or I at least am highly likely AS... (through talking with her I tend to think I pretty much have AS), our differiences are quite pronounced.

I am very open and unstructered, She needs planning and structure in most things
I am very unemotional, She has ample emotion
I am hyersensitive, She is hyposensitive
I don't care to follow social rules, She likes to interact with people so has learned to pick up many social niceties
We don't have the same taste in music
I like to eat meat, she is a vegetarian
She reads a ton of books, I play a bunch of Video Games
She can Multitask, I need to stay focused on one thing at a time
I like Math and science, she likes literature, english and History

On big things we agree very much though, like religion, morals, sense of humor, some politics(though not all, which is okay)

I think that a courtship is the way to go too. Plus, the personality profile for someone that would be compatible with me is too rare to treat dating like fishing anyway. The modern notion of dating seems to ruin lots of good friendships needlessly.

Your differences seem to be things that are good to disagree on. I think it would suck if you agreed on EVERYTHING. That would be boring. Agreeing to disagree can be a very good thing because that allows you to be in a relationship without losing your own personal identity.

Yes, most definetely....And who wants to ruin a good friendship? They're hard enough to come by

If we agreed on everything, it would be a very boring relationship :P

Right on..Hale Bopp!! !!

My sentiments exactly...except... I broke up with myself about 2 months ago. Things weren't going so well, I was a little too self centred and my snoring kept waking me up!! ! I just couldn't live with it anymore!! !
