I don't like the telephone either. It has become a real hindrance for me to not be able to answer the phone or make phone calls. Getting caller ID helped as I can now see who is calling and decide whether to take the call or not. I still have extreme trouble calling anyone tho. I have even started having trouble calling my mother or my brother.
I thought it was just me. Maybe not.

Explain this to her and tell her that you prefer to text or e-mail or something. Just ignoring her calls will send the wrong signal.

Perhaps you could try telling her that some Aspie have major problems talking on the phone. There's been some post here on WP about why we have problems with that. If you would show her some post; she might understand that you avoid the phone cuz of your AS & not because your disinterested in talking to her which is probably what she thinks rite now. I didn't pay much attention to those post about phones thou so I'm not sure how to search for em but hopefully some others here can provide links

Try talking over a computer like with skype. My friend doesn't like phones but can talk on headphones all day long.

Over not liking the phone? Why? Makes little sense to me. As long as you're still talking via different protocols I don't see the issue there. She's being irrational if you ask me.
