What do you think about this clip? - Even though I'm happy for the couple I found the video incredible condensing. It is not a miracle that two people on the spectrum find each other. It is quite common as far as I've heard. Anyways, let me know what you think! Maybe I got it wrong.

It's the latest trend, those love stories.

and he sounds/looks way more 'autistic' than her btw.

She sounds SO NORMAL, I can't sense anything autistic/aspie or even socially weird or inept in the way she talks.

It is?

I think a lot of us could fake it for the short period of a interview and especially the girls. I dislike it when people start to question others diagnosis based on 5 min, but thats off topic.

Oh ok, I probably jumped to conclusions :) I just noticed that there were several comments on youtube saying that there were "no way she was autistic".

I know they're a mainstream American news channel, so I have to forgive them a certain amount of ignorance, but I found the whole video quite patronising.

The one in The New York Times was decent though. I think written form is better. I find American news channels a bit unpalatable.

Yea the sensationalism portrayed by the reporter made me nauseous. "despite insurmountable odds" and crap... ugh. I'd like to know of anyone here that is with another person with Asperger's or autism, how's that going? I'm in a long-term relationship with another Aspie, it's been 10 years, and while we don't have separate bedrooms (we are poor), we separate our stuff anyway -- separate bedding on the same bed, our certain chairs we sit in to watch tv and we both have our own desks and computers. I'm trying to share "my kitchen" with him but it's hard because he comes in and makes a mess lol.

Anyone else? With a person with autism/Asperger's and have it yourself?

We did get the same expression then.... My wife is being evaluated so she's a maybe as. We certainly don't got separate bedrooms, - if anything I have trouble sleeping without her since we are always together.

Yea we're together 90% of the time too, even when we're having "alone time" we're in the same room! :D I have separation anxiety really badly when I have to spend even one night away and I usually am very uncomfortable sleeping if he happens to fall asleep in the living room and comes to bed late.
