What do you find to be the hardest?

For me, it's not having someone to cook for. I love cooking and feeding people, but when it's only me I often just get depressed because I don't have anyone to share my creations with.

I love to cook too but what gets me is going to sleep without having someone to snuggle with

Yes, for me; eating almost every meal alone was the hardest. I also cook. I have been single for 24 years and I no longer feel so lonely about eating alone. It only took @ a decade to get over it. 8O

A decade!? Gosh, IDK if I'd last that long. I often just skip eating altogether to avoid it all. :?

Lack of non-awkward hugs.

The most difficult thing about being single? Hard to choose...

Not having anyone to hold your hand and tell you that everything is going to be alright.

Not having anyone to show your latest award to when everyone else is celebrating their accomplishments with their loved ones.

Not having anyone greet you with a hug and a smile after you come home from a hard day's work.

Being propositioned by every drunken floozy in sight when all you want is a few quiet drinks at your favorite watering hole.

Turning down a party with loved ones because you know that they're all going to try to fix you up with someone else's mistake.

Trying to decorate your own place and having it end up looking like a rummage sale at Radio Shack.

Eating your birthday cupcake while standing over the kitchen sink.

not having someone to share, everything and/or anything with.

No one to challenge me to growth in ways that family and friends simply won't.

not having anybody to help me out when i'm hobbled or ailing. nobody to drive me to the ER when i get seriously sick. nobody to give me a lift when my car is in the shop. nobody to laugh at my jokes and nobody for me to laugh at when they tell me their jokes. nobody with which to listen to good music. nobody to play music [instruments] with in concert. nobody with which to bounce-off ideas and worries. nobody to miss me when i'm gone. nobody with which to have sex. nobody to hug and nobody to hug me. nobody to do things with, to share with, in general. but the thing which saves me from a terminal pity party is the fact that it could always be worse. :hmph:

I have enjoyed more than a couple good belly laughs at your fine humor and your sharing here on WP is peerless. Not that these are any proper substitute for a mate. Just sayin'.

Wow, that's some image. Otherwise I'd love to shop a rummage sale at Radio Shak.
