hi all,

I've learnt that even NT find me intimidating (I'm bubbly, enthusiastic & funny when I get excited)
I'm wondering how I could approach ND young men without coming across as intimidating... I've tried being my very shy and quiet self (which is actually a real layer in my personality, so I'm not pretending or anything!) but I find that I still seem daunting? There's just something about me that intimidates men and especially ND men... I'm not sure what it is but I have a feeling that there is something about my appearance that makes me seem a lot 'stronger' than I actually am. I feel like I scare people off before they get to know me, if that makes sense? Even if I am quiet and withdrawn... I think it is a physical thing. I have a sturdy and robust build, a bit like olympic weightlifters, and I think people might judge me on the basis of that? I'd really like to communicate without being so intimidating... I want men to feel safe around me and I want to approach them without freaking them out.

Do you have any tips how you would like a woman to behave to make you feel safe yet wanted?

Thank you :)

LOL....Just don't expect men to be as "bubbly" as you.

And listen to what they have to say.

I would say that most men would warm up to a "bubbly" person if that person doesn't constantly make demands on them.

It could be that they don't know how to react :) maybe you might have a bit of luck on this site ;).

When I was dating my mum always told me 'let out your crazy a little bit at a time'. I would always have to remind myself to not talk to much and to listen to the other person. I'm sure there's a guy out there that will love everything about you, just make sure you tone down the excitement so they can get to know you :)

Thanks for the replies :) I know I sound ridiculous. Yes "curb your excitement" is basically the theme in my life *sigh* Thanks for the tip about this site, I hadn't considered it yet!
