I am gay and have had a boyfriend for three years. Is anyone else gay and an aspie?

There was this one guy a couple of weeks ago, haven't seen him lately. I gather you haven't visited this thread:

Finding someone as an aspie is hard enough. Being gay would likely multiply those difficulties by a thousand times. How in the heck did you manage to find a boyfriend?

Lesbian too! Actually I've read there is a higher percentage of lesbians in the Aspergers population than in the population at large.

I am surprised that an aspie can be gay.I know that in sociatly, aspies have something special to contribute to sociaty and so do gays( you might not now how unless you resourch into it) I thought that being an aspie was in conflict with being gay.

Are you asking if AS girls look like dudes or lesbians look like dudes? AS girls are said to have been exposed to high amounts of testosterone in the womb so they can't help but look more masculine to a certain extent. Lesbians often have PCOS or CAH which exposes them to larger than normal amounts of testosterone. This is something you don't read, but once you live in such a gay town as Flagstaff you start noticing how ironic it is when you know hundreds of lesbians and they all have the same health problem. Also many lesbians prefer to look more masculine as in wearing guy clothes because guy clothes are more comfortable, cheaper, fit in with the active, outdoorsy lifestyle of most lesbians and most were tomboys growing up anyway.

I think AS girls may sometimes feel similiar in not caring to wear frilly clothes and makeup. Overall I think women are getting less frilly, at least where I work the straight girls are even wearing guy clothes & have short cropped hair. I've noticed a lot of young girls as in under 10 are wearing boy clothes which I never would have got away with as a kid. Don't know if they're all budding dykes or if its a fashion trend. I've also noticed a lot of supposedly straight dudes wearing makeup and girl shoes and jewelry so please explain what's up with that?

i have seriously never seen gay people here, ive seen alot of hippies though, and maybe the occasional "woman that looks like a man" thing. maybe its because im not looking for gay people? :D
i think dudes wearing girl shoes and pants has more to do with something called emo, its really popular for some reason why i don't know. i would never wear tight pants, or girl shoes it looks rediculous lol. anyways i guess i just don't get the whole gay thing :?
but cheers to you if you are gay :P
i just don't understand how you can like someone with the same parts under the hood
alot of girls with AS are not cute. or atleast i've never seen a cute one. (sorry girls) and then they only like other girls :(

I'm definately gay but so far have only self-diagnosed as aspie. I'm planning to get a professional opinion on that. Regardless, I definately have some sort of social issues that have kept me from being able to form a long-term relationship which I keep hoping I can overcome. I'm very jealous of you. :)
