I was dumped by my girlfriend about three weeks ago. The problem is that, her and I share the same math class as her. I am a dignosed Aspie and she is probably is autistic but, not documented. The thing is that we're still pretty good friends and she says that we can still go on as "just friends" but, would it be crossing the boundary by asking her to prom? I needed I'll post more info as needed.

The best thing you can do right now is disregard your feelings for her, she has dumped you and if you persist, you are only going to look desperate or clingy. She called the relationship off and she is hoping you come crawling back so she can have you on a thread like a cat chasing a ball of string. The best thing you can do is take another girl to the prom and accept that your ex is now your friend.

If you can't get over your feelings for your ex, you need to stay away from her or keep things very casually until your feelings pass.

i would NOT ask her to prom.

i mean.. she broke up with you. why would she choose you to go to prom with? you arent being realistic XD

its best to try to move on, im afraid. it will hurt for a while, but eventually you'll think about it less and less. for me it only takes about 2 weeks to move on from being disappointed. you'll get better at it the more it happens. sucks every time, but oh well. at least when you do find someone you'll want to be with them and they'll want to be with you, as opposed to only you wanting to be in the relationship, and them not caring about you or your relationship that much.

Get someone else to go to the prom with you if possible.
