Guys, when you get all mopey about your crush not wanting you. Just remember she probably won't be crush worthy in about 5 years or so...

This is Britney Spears NOW.

Now look at Britney Spears from 13 years ago. Keep in mind that this is someone with access to tremendous resources and has an economic incentive to stay hot.

Look up girls on facebook you knew as "hot" from high school and/or college. You will see my point.

I don't think she looks bad at all, just because she's aged doesn't mean she's less attractive. She's also making an ugly face, give her a break!

I don't think she's ugly either. I think stereotypical beauty fades fast, but as people (male and female) age they gain a new, deeper form of beauty, where their personality and selves shine through the shape of the face, laugh lines, wrinkles and creases, etc.

I'll agree that being youthful and hot/sexy/whatever you'd label it is very temporary for most, though.

It is temporary. But could you ignore it at all?

She got uglier because of her partying lifestyle

Not for all, I come from a young looking family and I look older than my brother who is 30 but I think that's because I grow a beard to look older. Nick makes an excellent point, It depends on how you treat your skin and body. My grandfather has never smoked or had alcohol in his life and when I was born, the nurse had to ask who the father was and my mom's friends would mistake him for being her brother.

My brother looks young and he is 30, he has the whole clean cut blue eyed boy look going for himself though. Here is a photograph of him.

Many Americans eat processed foods or fast foods, they also lead party lifestyles of smoking and drinking, this could be a factor in why they age quicker. Europeans look younger because we eat organic natural foods and tend not to drink in excess, it just depends on how you look after yourself.

Monica Bellucci is 47 years old and she looks good for her age, she lives a healthy lifestyle.

Also Johnny Depp is 48 and he looks younger than he is.

True, although I did say most, not all. I think people who look stereotypically "sexy" (according to the media - I'm not talking what say you or I find attractive) over the age of 30 exist, but are not the norm.

I'm not sure how to take this thread. It seems like the OP is saying only teenagers are sexy and therefore crush-worthy.

I dunno about you but I feel much more attractive now than I did as a teenager. Maybe I'll continue to feel that way as I get older as I become more confident in myself. Britney Spears could look a lot worse based on all the crap she's done. :/

I don't know about you guys, but we're pushed to think about and consider everything in terms of some narrow superficial beauty concept to such an extent it's super unhealthy. I'm so sick of it. Why just feed into it, and go - "sucks to be those girls who rejected me in high school, cause now, they're UGLY!! ! ha ha!"

It's like a sickness, and personally, I want to get better.

Also it's good to keep note that many photos you see of celebrities are photo shopped or airbrushed and completely different to how they would look in real life. We are in a superficial society that we are living in today, where under the makeup, all is not what it seems to be.

Many people live according to society's standards or what perceived beauty is and never acknowledge who they truly are or feel content in themselves. Beauty is subjective and it is in the eye of the beholder, the images in many magazines are dishonest and unhealthy. The trouble is many young girls and even boys will perceive it as true beauty, starve themselves, result to taking steroids or feel insecure or unworthy in themselves because they aren't living up to that preconceived standard.

For instance, I'll post two pictures of a supermodel.

That's a lie. Well, not about being happy, but you look great so I don't think your beauty is fading!

Same here. I was so insecure as a teen. Plus, I looked like a kid and that's usually the last thing you want as a teen. I do think confident people are more attractive because they shine and they have a certain glow that makes them more attractive. I'm not into egoists and narcissists so there IS such a thing as having too much confidence (it is annoying and it makes you less attractive), but I do think a bit of confidence and maturity is needed.
