I've been told endlessly that I'm too loud, or that my voice goes through someone's head (hurting their ears). Being autistic, I go WTF because my own voice doesn't do that to me.

However, this being the case, perhaps this is a major barrier to finding a partner? If a person can't stand the sound of your voice, that would be a pretty big dealbreaker right off the bat, don't you think?

I get told a lot that I need to speak louder by girls. But I've also been told that I have a good voice.

I personally wouldn't care if a girl spoke loud or spoke quietly, but if she had an annoying voice, it would be a dealbreaker.

Yes it can be a dealbreaker, but if it's the right person then alot more can be tolerated...

My partner also speaks too loud at times, but I love him...and I just turn the volume down so I can listen properly.
Thus all is well.

Well the thing is I am told this by family. Not prospective anythings. I mean, if multiple members of my family have a problem with it, most people must have a problem with it, right?

Probably.

See if you have access to your own volume switch.

It can help to block one ear (with a finger for example) to assess voice modulation.

I have an aspie friend who is super nice, super cool. Not very great looking, but good enough looking to get a girl.

but he is LOOOOUUUUDDD

and yes I can tell you it hinders him greatly. He gets excited and gets really loud, talks with alot of enthusiasm and gets really loud. It can ruin things for him, alot of my friends and girls I know get really annoyed by it. Just try to match the volume level of people around you.

If you have a family member you trust, perhaps you could try having them "monitor" you, and tell you when you're speaking too loud and when your volume is o.k. That way you can practice getting your voice to an appropriate volume. I agree if someone talks too loud it can be very distracting and off-putting.

The problem is it's even when I'm *trying* not to be too loud. I cannot really modulate my voice at all.

Have you thought about trying to meet women who are hard of hearing? Women with poorer hearing would be less bothered or would appreciate a guy having a louder voice.
