This is a follow-up to the thread entitled "I give up". I have tried painstakingly to find an aspie woman to date. I have even applied to colleges under the impression that I would be within 50 miles of an Aspie woman. I have subsisted on 3-4 hours of sleep trying to meet people, which could have cost me my job.

Boise State University is the school I want to go to, but there are no Aspie women in Boise, or who are willing to do a long-distance relationship.

The fact that the only Aspie woman in Houston I talk to is asexual is my reason for leaving Houston. There are no Aspie women in San Antonio, Odessa, or El Paso (three other cities where I applied for colleges).

I truly give up. The only way an NT will answer my personal ad is if I tell a few lies about myself (like saying I make $250,000 a year and I am 6'0"). I make about $27,000 a year and I am 5'10", and the truth has gotten me nowhere when it comes to mainstream personal ads. And no Aspies want to date me, despite the fact that I would have a lot to offer a woman.

I give up.

Tim

asexual? I'm confused. You can't be asexual and be a woman (or a man). Asexual means without gender.

I give up too. Why try to find relationships if we can function without them? There are a few NT girls I wouldn't mind dating, and who wouldn't mind dating me. I think NT guys have trouble finding girls, too. Don't narrow your search so much.

Asexual means that the woman Tim_Tex is talking about doesn't have a sexual preference towards men or women and/or doesn't like to have sexual intercourse. She is non-sexual.

You're going to meet somebody when you're trying to do something else.

These are people that I know personally:

1. He met his (eventual) wife when she walked in the door to be interviewed for a job. The interview lasted till closing time and was continued over dinner.

2. He met his (eventual) wife when he agreed to be a designated driver.

I think it's really important that you go to the college that appeals to you. Fate will find you wherever.

You'll be ok, really. It's just not something that can be controlled.

I am worried that the only person who will go out with me is somebody who is so desparate that she will go out with ANYBODY.

Okay the modern electronic methods of matchmaking failed for you. Try it the old fashion way goto a low cost college part time in Houston and meet women that way.

A friend I had in college who got a degree and started an IT job came visited me
back at school and said its much easier to meet women at college. I think he is quite right. Many women goto college with the idea in the back of their mind to find a husband.

I don't like Houston, and I am tired of my parents trying to impose their Christian fundamentalist beliefs on me.

I think you're definitely investing too much time and energy into this :!:

What you really want is simply casual sex once in your life. Get over it. Seek treatment like I have.

You've listed all of those states where you say there are no Aspie women. There are Aspie women everywhere. Maybe you just haven't found them yet. I'm sure if you go to the school you want to there will be some Aspie women there. Don't give up your dreams and future based on this. I had given up my whole life ten years ago to move from New England to the South to be with my ex-boyfriend. It was a HUGE mistake. I thought it was my only chance to ever be with someone. I was SO wrong. Once you relax and stop stressing about meeting someone, it will happen. Please don't give up.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I would call that dis-sexual, 'excluding sex'. Or maybe ex- [in, il, im, ir]- sexual, 'out of, away from, without, lacking'. Anyway. Prefixes are all close-to-same in meaning anyhow. Hehe.

College campuses, any coffee shop near college campus, bookstores, guest lectures at a college campus where the public is invited to attend, pet shops where they sell tarantulas ...

Thats fine to. Try any college anywhere. I think I have said this to you before. You
can change colleges every semester if you wanted to. Your not glued to a location. Its
a done deal your going to college. Go and try it one semester any where.

I've heard people say "stop looking." How the hell does that work?

"I have to find the treasure! See? I've got a map. I'm gonna go into the jungle and..."

"Stop looking."

"What?"

"Stop looking. The treasure will come to you once you stop looking."

"What the f*** stupid drivel is that!? Come here so I can choke the sh*t out of you!! !"

That's what I want to know.
