A few years back a movie called "cool world" came out. It depicted relationships between humans and toons. An in true hollywood spirit there was the element of sex.

A toon seduced a man to become human to attain certain goals. A ridiculous idea to some, fun/ funny for others and obviously a reality for certain others.

Nowadays we get all kinds of romantic and sexual behaviour. People marry their pets, some sleep with them, others play online and some even prefer anime pornography. Romance, sex, sexual preferences and behaviours change regularly. And romance is not of the same variety for everyone. Some are serious, some are fun, hokey, bizarre - each to his plough. Outlandish cartoon over the top infantile drooling, worship and wotnot!

Do we frown on other people's preferences. As long as I have a choice, shouldn't the "pervert" also be allowed a choice?

Any one with ideas - someone had an issue with falling in love and being in love. What say ye, jurors of the court.

I don't really understand the question. Are you asking if we think it's "perverted" to be in love with cartoon characters? Or if there are limits on what should be considered acceptable kinds of romantic and sexual attraction? Or for advice on a situation you're in? :?

I am asking for your thoughts or input or whatever response you would like to make to any part or comment or perceived question. You do not have to stay within the "colouring lines".

As long as you are not hurting or doing anybody any harm, whatever spins your wheels I guess.

What does one do if you happen to share the details of what really turns you on with someone and this person goes and blabs about it to the whole world, making you out to be some kind of freak. And has a great laugh at your expense to boot?

What would you do if this happened to someone dear to you?

Cartoon/Drawn/Fictional characters are supposed to resemble real people. That's the point. If people are unable to see these drawings as other humans/people, then they would not be able to grasp the story being told. That said, an attraction to such is perfectly normal.

Personally, for me, I find it's more the idea of the character that I find attractive, rather than the actual art itself. Which would translate perfectly over to some real person who shared those traits.

There is a HUGE difference between sexual attraction, enjoyment, and love. I mean, you can enjoy or be sexually attracted to a fictional character, sure. People can be extremely emotionally attached to fictional characters (although this is usually not beneficial except when these are created BY the people). But it's impossible to love something that isn't real--real love can only be given to real people.

I am not entirely sure about that, because when androids/cyborgs/replicants, add some more names there if you like, some of them probably would want someone to love them as much as the norm? Pinocchio comes to mind.

What are you talking about? If you're talking about if mechanical things with human-like intelligence existed, then sure. But that's completely irrelevant to the point. I mean, if things like that existed, they'd be real. But we're talking about imaginary characters that reside in fictional worlds--characters that have no real world consciousness and cannot possibly interact with us. This is impossible.

How real do scientist say is the world inside your head, stalk? Isn't that all the world you'll ever know - the one between your ears, which doesn't necessarily coincide with that of a fish?
