i am feeling VERY depressed and sad at the moment. you see 10 years ago when i was 12 years old there was this girl i knew at school and we got a long really. i really liked her a lot (she was the grandaughter of my childminder)

its just that since its been 10 year snow since i last spoke too her (she left school at aged 14 in 2002 because she got pregnant) the old memories are making me feel very sad

how can i deal with this because looking back the memories are very painful. i last saw her in my local town 8 years ago in 2004 but i did not speak too her. do you think maybe i should just accept that it was a very long time ago and neither of us are the same as we were back then.

I do this all the time. What makes me feel better is accept that they've moved on. Keep your admiration of them in your heart; that might make you feel better too. Or not, if you have a different way of processing letting go.

Maybe you can talk to her only. See if you can find her number and see what happens.
