I think I've made up my mind. I'm sick of dating NT guys!
Maybe the reason relationships don't last with me because these guys are just too different?

I want a guy that's just like me. Not the opposite.

I don't think it would be right to not give some people a chance based on whether they are NT or AS or whatever else. In any case I think you could still potentially be missing out on quite a lot of what very unique people have to offer. No one person is exactly like another.

Its not, in all likely hood there is probably some guy with asperger's syndrome within your city. So It shouldn't be to hard for ya

What you might want to do is focus on more what you want in a guy and less about whether or not he has the same diagnosis as you.

I just can't connect with anyone that's an NT. Not even my own family or anyone I meet.

I just want someone that understands me and so that I don't feel like such an alien.

I even considered just being alone the rest of my life...

It's taken me years to get to know people well enough to where I can feel any sort of connection or trust or anything of real value. Unfortunately by then it seems they've already decided I'll only ever be "just a friend". So I think it might be hard to find someone who you could feel close to in a short amount of time without taking a huge risk.

WP is a good place to look for one.

I know how you feel, I feel the same way,( just than I'm a guy wanting a girl. ) I am sure you are going to find someone, and this page is a good place to look. There's lotsa guys your age on here, and a lot of them live in the US. So yea, just have a little patience and you'll find somebody.

Well if you wanna meet nerdy/socially awkward guys, anime/video game clubs. They have them at most colleges I believe. Plus there's more men than women, so you get to have your pick and have all the guys fight over you on the sole virtue of you being a female.

One thing I think, though, sometimes friendships are less about understanding, and more about virtue. Someone can understand you and still be a complete jerk to you, and someone can not understand you and still be good to you because they're virtuous people. Just something to keep in mind.

Me personally, I either like people who seem to be female clones of me, or are the polar opposite of me, with nothing in between.

You should be able to find at least a few candidates on here--it's a great place for that.

Having recently met a decent number of attractive women on the spectrum, I can see why you'd want that mutual understanding. Don't be surprised, though, if the feelings you have toward/share with aspie guys are at least a bit different than the feelings you've had with NT guys.

Someone in my AS group has heard a claim that Aspies are a "third gender", and some bisexual people say that dating a same-sex vs. opposite-sex partner "feels different"--so it's not hard to see why an AS vs. NT might feel different to be with. I know for me the attraction seems to be on a different "level". I'm not trying to claim one is better or worse.
