I swear, every other online profile I've viewed, has at least one picture where the woman is wearing a funny mustache, or has one drawn on.

Is that in reference to something, or just a meme, or some hipster thing or what? It's like everyone started doing it.

Someone educate me! :)

I don't understand it either. I think it's some kind of hipster crap.

Hipsters are a big turn off for me. But all the attractive girls are hipsters so I have to be open to them. That being said, I don't think a hipster would ever date me. I definitely ain't stylish. I've seen the 'stache and I think it's some hipster qu**r thing or what the cool NTs do to entertain themselves.

it's because they look cute (to other people who understand the meme). if you don't get it then it probably isn't intended for you.

personally, i never "got" why people do the peace sign in photos (they are not really peaceniks or hippies so i don't get the connection), but apparently it is cool or sexy to those who understand the reasoning.

Oh my gosh.

I cracked open a Christmas cracker and found a plastic mustache inside. I proceeded to take pictures of my family members and myself (well--they took pictures of me) posing with the mustache (I posed as hitler, for no clear reason).

Then I posted the pictures on facebook.

I must unconsciously gravitate towards this previously unknown (to me) trend...which is a little disturbing and a little legitimating.

But really, I first dawned a mustache in third grade--when we did our fiesta at school and there were too many girls for boys. Mustaches are pretty fun. Finally a trend that makes sense.

Edited so that I didn't look quite as egotistical.

I thought this thread was going to be about women with facial hair!

I have no idea about the moustache thing, that is an odd trend. Just another thing about the women and internet photos that leaves me baffled, and I am one.

I don't know really. I suppose because many women spend a lot of time bleaching their actual moustaches to hide them then it seems odd to add a moustache on top. Just because I find something odd doesn't mean it is though - It's quite possible that I am the odd one :)

You've never seen a Japanese tourist's photo album then? In every photo of a group of Japanese girls you'll see at least one making a peace sign. I've always seen it as a stereotypical Japanese thing to do, other people have cottoned on to this, and in an effort to be cool have emulated them.

At least it's far more cute than the crappy duckface pose.
