I'm an NT and I've been hanging out with a guy, who is an Aspie. He has no prior relationship experience. I can't figure out if he likes me or not. He knows I like him and I know he needs time to be comfortable... But, I can't tell what he is thinking, at all, or if it's even a possibility that we would be more than friends. How would I know?

Perhaps go on a date as friends (such as a movie) towards the end ask him if you want to consider it a date.

I'm pretty sure that he considers us dating. He just hasn't decided if he wants it to go to the next level or not. I have a hard time just waiting. It's great to really get to know someone before jumping in a relationship, but hard not to know what he is thinking. I mean, he has to be leaning towards a direction, doesn't he?

I would recommend being very aggressive. He must be EXTREMELY nervous about putting the moves on anyone. You will have to make the first move. Probably you should jump on him and start making out lol seriously though

I have no problem making the first move. I just don't want to do anything to hurt him and I don't think he's decided if he wants a relationship with me. I can't read him and that's the problem. If I knew he liked me that way, I would just jump on him.

Honestly? Why don't you simply ASK him? LOL Because I know that I, as an Aspie, would much rather have things clear and "blunt" than deal with all the subtle "drama" of relationship stuff. If it was the right moment, I would really appreciate someone just asking me, or on the other end, I usually end up just asking people.

I agree. Just ask. Aspies prefer a more direct approach and trying to read us or send us hints will only end in a missed connection in most cases. You just have to be ready for an honest answer or a need to process the question for a time before getting an answer.

Ask. He's probably finding you quite difficult to read, too.

I did ask and he wanted more time to process and make a decision about what he wanted. But, now time has gone by and he hasn't made a decision, as far as I know. I want to know one way or another. I guess I'll just ask, again. I've been stuck in the mode of waiting for his answer and trying to figure out what he is thinking, because I'm not getting an answer...

Be direct and say how you feel to him... plus with the whole like business... he's gonna think you mean friends unless you said it in such a way that makes it very very easy to figure out that you meant... what you meant...
If he does feel that way then you probably should jump on him... I'm actually being serious.
Just imagine if he read this and did not truly know that this is how you feel about him. Better yet, tell him.

If he was attracted to you he would have told you by now. Sorry :(

He has told me he is attracted to me... Attraction isn't the problem. Lack of experience and knowing if he wants more is the problem. I think I need to just ask him directly what he wants. Or, maybe I should just kiss him...

yup. You need to do this if you want things to go somewhere.

I'd advise against this without asking him first, which could send you right back to square one...

personally I don't like surprises and usually don't like touch, I don't think just kissing him is a good idea
