Someone suggested in another thread that we have a separate thread for our OKCupid personality results as they change. I find this interesting as well so I decided to create the thread myself.

I agree, probably because most of us are sexually repressed and that just so happens to be the subject that everyone around us is so obsessed about and it makes us wonder what we're missing. You'll notice a lot of the topics here are centered around relationships, for instance the 1,000 + topics about suicide that no one would actually commit to because people come on here to get sympathy apparently.

God, forbid you get into a stingy sex relationship after all that work as well! Boo!

So according to okcupid, I'm like the human version of a technical manuel? Hmm...?

Mostly correct descriptions except for the less sex-driven one.

i see nothing but how we react to what we are in personalities. i am more pure and less experienced in love. but that doesn't change me.

i wonder, are paid dating sites better than the free ones? as in, you have a better chance at connecting, meeting someone on a paid dating site than you do on a free dating site?

I don't think so. For a lot of the paid ones, you don't actually know how many their members are still active until you actually signing up and paying their fees. Also, I don't approve of some of their tactics of allowing people to send messages as a "trial" but then preventing them from meeting without paying. Plus, usually it's in their best interest for people not to meet because according their business model, they get more money out of you the longer you remain a paying member, so they actually work against you. In short, many paid dating sites are just a waste of money.

If however, the dating site gives you an option to pay for extra features but still allows you to message and meet people for free, then that's different story. For example, while technically free, OKCupid also allows you pay a fee to become premium member.
