I don't know why, but I have long hair myself (I am male, for clarification) and I have a thing for long-haired gals. Somehow, when you put it together, it makes for follicular Nirvana for me!

What do you people think of such couplings?

I have long hair and have a fondness for long haired men. My ex had a beautiful thick long hair, I hear we made a beautiful couple. The downside was that some males who saw us from behind as we were strolling the street holding hands or so, gave us frequent wolf whistles thinking we were a lesbian couple.

@equestriatola Hey, hey, join the club man...a fellow long-haired guy living in Western Wa. I agree though...I think certain movies have really romanticized the look...Beauty and the Beast, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Interview with the Vampire, etc. I, personally, grew my hair out after seeing how cool Brad Pitt looked in a suit with long hair in Interview with the Vampire and it didn't hurt that as a guitarist, my favorite guitarist (John Petrucci) has long hair.

@Lilya Haha :D I've found the solution to that problem...the guy just needs to work out. Most men can easily and subconsciously tell a male and female apart by their back and shoulder width. I've been lifting weights with brutal intensity for about a year now and haven't gotten a single negative comment or accidental female recognition in the last six months, ha.

No to derail, but I never understood the appeal of slapping, hair-pulling, etc...

Between pain, negativity and hurt feelings I feel it has no place in sex... but some people seem to like it. Heck, some people like [edited so people can keep their lunch down]

I'll never understand it.

Some light, playful stuff maybe... okay, enough threadjacking from me.

I don't much care for hair on me or anyone else. I cut my hair about every 6 weeks with a number 7 clipper guard and right now it is dyed bright red (my husband requested the dying). My husband prefers my hair short because his hand doesn't tangled in it. He completely shaves his about every 2 or 3 months and just lets it grow between shavings.

I've often stated my fondness for long, dark hair on a lady... mmmmm! :D

There's no way I can grow my hair long though - it's far too thick and it just goes straight out forming some kind of shrub.

I'm OK with guys who don't have a lot of hair, because I have my own hair to play with. It's one of my favourite soothing behaviours. I really, really like it.

I am a female with long hair. I do not like long hair on men.

People have different ideas of what "long" means when it comes to hair. It always puzzles me when some ladies say "I have long hair" and then it turns out their hair only reaches their shoulder blades or something. To me, that's short hair - on a woman. It would be long on a man, though.

Once I was asked if I knew a certain lady and she was being described to me and the person said "she has long blonde hair." I was puzzled to later be introduced to the lady in question and it turned out she only had hair that reached down to her collarbone. If it had been me who was describing her, I would have described her by saying "she has short blonde hair."

For me, "long" hair on a male means hair that reaches below the ears or longer, and "long" hair on a female means hair that reaches below BSL or longer. (BSL is a hair geek acronym that stands for Bra Strap Length).

In the West, where short hairstyles on females are popular, perceptions of "long" and "short" are totally messed up. :?

Here is a link to examples of the different hair lengths.

Which is the length where hair on a female starts to be considered, in your eyes, "long?"

Girls who can rock short hair rule.
Not many can pull it off, just like not many men look good with long hair.
