Okcupid Stats
^ link

(updated 2013, so it's new)

Not sure how accurate these numbers are, but this site is used by MTV, Time, Fox...etc so it's not a joke.

I wonder, what about all those numbers and claims seen eleswhere that Okc has a balanced gender ratio?

Personally, these nbs make more sense to me

And let's do a little quest; Let's do a quick search by gender on okc (in your area, online now, or online today , or within week -inactive are not important really) and post here the nb of pages produced - by gender.

ahh and notice the "Quantified
Directly Measured Data"

I think this is most accurate gender stats in okcupid can be found on the internet.

The common belief that males outnumber females there (by large) doesn't seem to be a myth after all.

and bear in mind, the stats don't show the gender ratio of active users - I think more women give up okcupid after days of use than men; which means a worse imbalance.

It doesn't come up with a number of pages, it just goes on seemingly forever...

Try guys shouldn't feel too bad for low response rate.

One more thing can be noticed there too, it was always claimed that there are more 'older' women than 'older' men there (35+) - not really, according to those stats, men outnumber women in all age groups.

I did that a while ago on a different site. Turns out, there were 35 pages of guys in my age range/area, but only 6 pages of women at the time. Quite the disparity!
