This time it's a different girl. Everytime she sees me she gets really excited... she waves and smiles, but doesn't really say anything. She is doing it more vigorously as we see each other more. I really like that about her though, most people greet me in a way that prompts a verbal response, but she smiles and waves and I wave back. What do you think? Is she flirting? Just being nice?

honestly, I'd just talk to her. I mean, we're not taling about commitement or anything. Just go over to her and say hi, conversate. Dont get me wrong, i know this is/can be very difficult, but if you go at her casually and just try to be friends at first, she'll be comfortable around you and vice versa. It seems to me she already has an intrest in you, we just dont know what kind. Only way to find out is to talk to her. If it seems she's being friendly, compliment her. Tell her you like her outfit or her smile(my personal fav). This lets her know that you notice it when she smiles at you, but its not too overbearing or desperate. I mean, you cant really like a girl until you get to know her. You learn that after a while. You may like how a girl looks but that really is second best to personality.

I think she is noticing you & thinks you are lonely and wants to attempt to befriend you. I really think the next time you see her, attempt to talk to her. If she hits on you, then strategize.

I would say 'just being nice'. Some people are just cheerful and like to wave at and smile at others.

In any case, smiling and waving isn't a relationship, so you'd have to wait until you two at least talk to one another, to even begin to think she's interested in romance. So until then it isn't really worth worrying about. For now, just enjoy the pleasantness of having someone wave at you regularly. :)

If she starts talking to you, post again with details on that. :)

hmmm would agree with other posters... but being that this is my main way of telling someone that i want to talk to them/get to know them better, i'd say she's trying to reach out to you and that she might be flirting/have a crush.... perhaps by her body language to draw attention to herself on the off chance that you'll come over to her... and in fact, when people flirt, (i've noticed most recently by getting the first rejection of my life and being in a 2 year relationship that perhaps that when people flirt they naturally revert back to childlike behavior because thats what we know as people- its safe and reliable and never actually fails...)

i'd say go for it and see if there could be more there...but let her engage you first just to be sure... if she doesn't then wait until she does because then she'd be taking the next step and you can be sure that you're going in the right direction! hope that helps!

I didn't say it to her, but I told her on Facebook right after I saw her on person that she looked really pretty with her glasses on and she replied minutes later: "awww... thanks=]"
