I don't mean to insult you. I am just stating a matter of fact. If I were your age, or you a few years older, I wouldn't have dismissed your earlier seeking for a boyfriend.

I dumped my first "girlfriend" when I was 12. It was girlfriend in that sense only. We disagreed over environmental issues, and we broke up at a bus stop. I haven't had even a real relationship beyond regular friendship with any girl since.

I believe the word you are looking for may be "celibate".
