Your employer can access your medical records?

Just go to a doctor and tell him how you're feeling about depression and give a dismal viewpoint about your relationship future, there's no law that says you have to tell him the embarrassing bits or in an embarrassing way. Clean it up and tell that version, most anti-depressants have little street value or abuse potential so they're often readily prescribed.

There are several different antidepressants and most likely you will get an ineffective one, so you just go back and try a different one.
They can take a while to work properly though. several months sometimes.

You kinda sound seriously depressed so you could try just getting some counseling and just tell the gentle part of the story, they'll probably try to talk you into meds real fast. =)

Good luck

It is not really enough when the sex drive reaches a certain level, and besides which the ability to make the rational choice to stick to that kind of flys out the window when all your brain can think of is trying to get laid. Besides which when I have the chance - which is most evenings I end up masturbating four or five times and spending too much time looking at porn when I could be doing something productive with my life.

Actually I have been depressed in the past but it is a kind of blunting sensation which I know this isn't right now.

just a note about SSRI antidepressants - their sexual effects can be permanent and continue long after the drugs are stopped.
