So whilst my mind was rambled with thoughts today about the concept of love and duality (the topics for my first essay assignment), I met a young girl on the bus ride home from school. She was cute, short hair, dark skin, nothing off the charts but you know my views on beauty and caring more about what someone has to say. This girl had a lot to say, we had some very deep conversations about love, human nature, duality, chaos, and even the afterlife (how I often start conversations with random people I meet cause I don't know how to talk about anything else). Well as we approach my home town I told her a sunning rendition of the Ancient Puebloan creation myth, but when I get to my stop here is where I may have screwed things up. I asked her for here number, but then I asked for her number and when I did I said something like this: "so can I get your number in case you decide to txt me?" she responded questioningly and incredibly confused: "you want my number?" I quickly regrouped got her number, said goodbye and got off the bus. Right now my phone doesn't work from lack of bill payments, I explained it to her that if she does get a text from me it might be awhile. I also screwed up because I was going to comment on how pretty she was before I got off but the whole thing with the numbers exchange made me forget it. Well hopefully she think to hard about me messing up asking for her number.

So you did get over that girl in your last thread after all. See it didn't take too long. And you haven't given up on other women either. Good for you. Too bad your phone doesn't work though.

;-) ^ this.

If she gave you her number, that can only be a positive thing.... but you have to get a move on and use it.

Actually, it doesn't sound like you're going to get anywhere. But you're welcome to try. I could be wrong. I don't know how it works for regular people but girls generally act the same when they're interested.

If she enjoyed the conversation, I doubt she cared. She could've found it awkward or silly, but you got her number, isn't that good enough?

You can actually send and get replies to text messages over email.
You don't need a phone.

Here's a link.

Ah, pal, I see what's going on here.
By the way, congrats on finding a new interest! Woo!
I think talking to her for a while but then asking her phone number might be the part where you "screwed up" [though you actually didn't..!]. I actually observed NTs [in real life and films] to see what they're most likely to do to get this beautiful girl's phone number. I think you just mildly surprised her. Ain't nothing you can't fix!
I say you should try to get to know her more and let her know more about you so she's more comfortable with you and your nature. Man, it's going to be awesome!
