My wife and I saw this movie yesterday--we agreed that is is the most realistic Hollywood portrayal of two people getting together that we have ever seen!

The depictions of mental illness are also quite accurate. Well worth seeing!

It was an excellent film.. was also the last movie I watched with my bestfriend/girlfriend before she broke my heart.. I think the movie said something else to her than it did to me..

I loved that movie. One of my favorite parts was when they were talking about meds at the dinner table.

Hollywood? Yes

Realistic? Highly doubt it

The film is better than your average rom com, but it succumbs to the same old cliches by the end.

I loved Silver Linings Playbook and I plan on purchasing a copy of the DVD when it is released.

Nice change Id say.

I have to make time to see it on a local cinema soon because I missed most of the baseball references and Im hoping they are easier to understand on the translated version

Have the book on my to read list but its apparently different from the movie

i saw it last night, and i really did like it a lot. i could really relate to the characters in some ways. i didn't like people's deceptiveness though.

(spongy, it is American football references in the movie)

yeah i saw it at an AMC cinema. i think it is on its way out of the theatres, so the times are only matinees and late afternoons in Manchester now.
