Simple question:
I want to know often you do things like

  • Flirting
  • Dating or at least asking someone out
  • Kissing (lips and beyond)
  • Sexual intercourse
while you are single.

"Flirting" requires some clarification. I'm not referring to small talk, but it should at least involve something like:
  • Showing interest in someone (more or less subtly)
  • Seeking close proximity and/or body contact
  • Giving not-so-casual compliments
  • Not-so-casual/sexy/suggestive smiling
  • Attracting someone's sexual attraction

Please give some information below in additions to voting.

I don't seem to have much in the way of flirting genes. many would consider me quite the bore. but I find myself endlessly fascinating

This poll is too broad.
I flirt a lot, I can be very charming but I never get to the second dating line, never mind the physical stuff!
So if I polled that I was doing such every day, you might think I meant sexual intercourse which of course I dont.

Flirting -by your definition- (which is good) I do and happens to me, way too often, every day.

It's much easier to do and understand than Normal-Speak.

I know – but this software doesn't permit 2-dimensional polls. That's why I asked for additional information below.

I wanted to know how often people had any kind of romantic/sexual contact, so you voted as intended. Some people may have one-night-stands without exchanging any words, so I'm not sure if there is a hierarchy. :)

I’ve never been in a situation which seemed to allow any of those things, and now I most definitely can’t, either, without achieving major changes in my life first, and odds don’t seem to be on my side. No idea what I’d have done had I ever actually been in the market.

I guess I have been around enough women and done a lot of things in the last 9 months. So often enough I guess.

perhaps a dumb observation, but I get the impression that the thing which separates the high-functioning aspie from the lower-functioning aspie, is social fluency [IOW being able to easily integrate into society, function well in high-status jobs and attract suitable mates without any difficulty].

I consider myself high-functioning because I can behave pretty normally in everyday situations. I can talk to people when it's about a specific matter, I don't freak out in crowded places, I manage to do my homework in time, I can work with other people, and there is very realistic hope that I will get a well-paid job in a few years.

Nevertheless, I'm a total failure at the things you mentioned above.

As a girl it's a bit different for me, because I don't flirt with people, as much as people flirt with me.
But in general, it's whenever I go out clubbing - which recently has been about once a week, that someone flirts with me.

Don't worry about being a total failure at that stuff right now. You get better with practice.
It will take more practice than for an NT, it's true, but it's still doable - the worst part is getting started and learning the ropes. After that, the worst is over and you will become more comfortable with it.

OK, the poll already shows some useful results.

I was a bit confused because a former colleague of mine picked up a girl every other night when he was single, and I wondered if that was the norm. :)
