Being told I can't tell her I miss her.

So me and her have been in a long distance relationship for nearly a year. I'm from the Netherlands, she's from the US. Lately things have been shaky between us because of something she did - well, I suppose 'Shaky' is a huge understatement - but she still booked a flight to visit me for about a month this summer.

She doesn't like compliments and she's banned me from telling her I miss her. I am confuzzpleasecuddlemeled thoroughly.

That is so confusing to me. Why doesn't she want to hear you say you miss her? That baffles me completely, you were just trying to tell her something straight from your heart. Maybe she is uncomfortable with certain statements? Well, when she flies out to see you, maybe it's time the two of you have a serious conversation about your relationship and see what is going on with her. That's all I know to say.

She probably doesn't feel the intensity of your compliments since its a long distance relationship. I am sure she will accept your compliments if you actually got to know her better, meaning meeting her in person. I think it can be hard decoding a persons personality based on meeting them online. Make sure not to compliment her much. Women like being teased even better. Just make sure that you don't step over the line with your playfulness toward her.

We've met several times, that's how things started.
