I like crazy, mean, smart girls because I'm crazy, mean, and smart. These women you speak of are probably unattractive in other ways

Guys are attracted to dumb crazy and mean girls, and pursue these girls for sex.
When it comes to long term relationships, these type of girls are not "marriage material", so those of us who want to be happy, sane, and satisfied in life soon learn that the women you feel like you want to bonk aren't always the one's to take home to meet the parents, and the one's that are attractive and worth sticking with usually aren't so mean, crazy, dumb, or unpleasant.
If they're mean to someone else, chances are at some point they'll be mean to you, so not really worth going there.
Likewise if you aren't intellectually compatible i.e., if there is a vast gap in intelligence level between you, then it will be pretty hard to maintain the relationship.
If they have some sort of mental problem, then best to let them sort their problem out than to go there, unless you think they really are interested you, and in taking your concern seriously and willing to attend therapy as a couple.
There of course is also the possibility that some of the so called singe nice smart girls are not so nice themselves, or are more picky.
It takes two to tango, and sometimes the reason you're single is looking you in the face when you look in the mirror, and not the fault of someone else at all.

Seriously, if you can't get a date, the problem is almost 100% you. Whether the people you go after are wrong, or your approach is wrong.

Why does it have to be a gender war? There are idiots from both genders, and they love pointing the fingers at the other gender - ÏT'S ALL THEIR FAULT!

I'd like to mention I'm speaking from a position of having had both a boyfriend and a girlfriend.

I thought it was because dumb girls just take longer to leave you.

I think this all comes down to behaviours and how long it takes for people to take a good honest look in the mirror. I have not read the postings you put in Bill to be honest. But lets take a look at how things might end up happening. This isn't gender specific, but lets go with the guy getting affected in this scenario.

Guy goes for good honest girl who doesn't treat him like crap. This good girl doesn't have the strong romantic feelings, but values the guy's friendship and feels close to him and both do hang out and share laughs together and enjoy eachothers company. Guy then gets a crazy girl and they start dating. This girl has her own issues and the toxic behaviour then takes over the guy because he spends a lot of time with said girl and she can't seem to escape her own misery. Guy becomes toxic because he for whatever reason can't seem to get away from what he thinks is love.
Crazy girl decides at one point that she doesn't want to put up with the toxic behaviour from the guy, and may not even choose to take responsibility for how she may have influenced it. She eventually leaves guy for someone else, the guy becomes toxic and the girl herself cleans up. The friend, good girl, eventually leaves the guy alone as well because he became toxic and difficult to be around. Guy now has the choice to decide what path he wants to go down: the path of despair, anger and sadness, or the path to peace, joy and happiness.

If I saw some woman be mean spirited then I would drop her immediately. I don't like women who are stuck up to other people and myself. Having a stuck up girlfriend is like having one of those Jersey Shore posers be some girl's boyfriend.

We all know the majority of people put up with a lot of stupid crap if the other person is attractive enough. That goes for both genders. End of thread.

Well I can tell you I deal with some crazies often and I certainly don't love them, bill.
Kjas is right though people will do or put up with anything when looks are concerned.
