This guy at work

So there is an attractive guy in the building I work in, although we don't directly work together. I first noticed him in late May when one of his coworkers showed me their lab's animal room. He smiled at me then, and often for the two months after that. I also seemed to make eye contact with him all the time. I wanted to try to talk to him, but he was always working on something, as was I. It is a job after all. It would be really irritating if I kept trying to talk to him about random stuff while he was in the middle of work. I didn't want to get in trouble over it either. The only times I really talked to him, was when I was asking about work supplies or the whereabouts of one of my coworkers. I joked with him about one of my coworkers disappearing, and he laughed about it quite a bit. He would ask my coworkers questions sometimes too, a bit more as of recently.

This continued for a while until Monday when my coworker asked him about his college majors. I jumped in on the conversation and asked him a bit about his classes. Why not? One is his college majors is the same as mine. A few minutes later, I saw that he was wearing a shirt that references trap music, which I listen to all the time. He said that he was a huge trap fan, and we talked about our favorite trap artists and even found out that we went to the same concert at the end of June. He also told me that he was 21 years old and seemed a bit surprised when I told him that I'm and 18 year old freshman to be. A lot of people think I'm a year or two older than I am because I did an early college program my senior year of high school. That last thing he asked me was when the next trap concert near the University was. Was he insisting we go together? I have no idea.

The next time I saw him, he said hi to me to me, and we talked a bit more. When I was leaving work, I ran into him on the elevator that goes to the main floor of my work building(I got there first). I told him I had to leave work early because my mom was freaking out about dinner. I also talked about moving to dorms this year, and he lived in the same dorm his freshman year that I will be living in. When I said goodbye to him, he smiled and joked about my mom burning dinner.

Is there any chance he could be interested in me? I hope I'm not too young or too weird for him.

sounds like he's interested but playing to cool, you have to respect that.
I'd suggest you give him your email address, that way you can get the ball rolling with email conversations, where you will have more time to think about what you're saying etc.
It worked for me, and I married my former email buddy!
