So, I'm sure we've all heard of at least one, "how to get a date" video. the kind were someone try's to teach the viewer how to get a date. Well... I always thought those things were kind of funny.
and so, I made a little parody type thing, just to lighten the mood around here. It's just for fun!
(Spoiler Alert, This features Batman)

anyway, speaking of getting a date. anyone ever followed a tip they got from someone? was it from a friend? or from a "how to get a date" video? or another source?
did it work? or, did it end in complete disaster? or do you think it's good or bad to rely on tips from others when it comes to dating?

I've never been on a date, so... I'm just curious.

Funny video.
So far as dating, I went with online dating, you get to check out profiles, you can even look at the profiles of your "competition", and you can interact with others online, via email, messaging, and over the phone before you meet.
In my case it lead to meeting the woman I've lived with for 9 years and been married to for 6 years.
I've had girlfriends I met other ways before, but I think with online dating you get a better sense of who the person is and whether or not you're compatible, before you feel committed to actually meeting, which takes some of the pressure off.
A word of warning though; there are quite a few women who have unrealistic expectations, and a higher opinion of themselves than is warranted.
Steer clear of them, you want to date someone down to earth, that shares some - but not all - of your interests, and who will accept you for who and what you are, no matter what that is.
Check out some of the online dating websites, many of them will allow you to have a look without having to register, and most are free to join, but you have to pay to contact or meet potential partners.
They're not all equal, and some are better than others, but in my opinion it's a lot less hit and miss than in the real world, where many of us just don't have the social skills to strike up a conversation with an attractive stranger - I know I don't.
