Shame on you for hijacking a new members first post and turning it into a 3 ring circus. Someone genuinely needed help and advice. It became 11 pages of nonsense and bickering, which resulted in the thread getting locked. More than 2/3 of the thread was off topic. Just kind of irked me a bit.

That is all.

No need for anyone to reply to this.

Yes I've noticed that. But if my first post here was about self esteem, and almost everyone that replied totally ignored me, then see that my first post was locked so I couldn't even respond to it, I probably wouldn't come back.

There could have been a little more consideration is all I was saying.

Well, hopefully the girl posts again or someone PMed her to speak with her about it. I honestly think her post would have been better off in Haven or somewhere else.

I could be wrong but I think most people who went off tangent did post on-topic at first. I know I and at least one other did that. But then it's hard to not reply to other people's posts when I have something to say, sometimes. I did suggest a new thread should be created, which happens on occasion (they get "split" by a mod).

But yeah, it was kinda ridiculous.

On the other hand, if around 2/3 was off topic, that's still a few pages of genuine advice, which is more than a lot of threads get.

Sadly people get too caught up in their own personal disputes with other members of the board they forget why people are here and serve as a reminder to everyone why they are also here. I do feel sorry for that lady. That thread was a s**t stew with nuggets by the end.

That's the internet for you, unfortunately. Ever notice how, on just about any semi-popular youtube video or news article you can find, there will be a vicious argument over government and religion in the comments?

Shall we review the thread and see who started the arguments?

I can't see what anyone did that was so wrong to be honest.

I don't know what all the fuss is about:

So since you can't beat me in a logical discussion you are going to try and put me down about my height? Very mature.

I didn't know that it was a competition.

Is there a prize for whoever wins the logical discussions?

No, but it's obvious that people do get their egos hurt when they can't hold up their end of the discussion so that's when they resort to personal attacks from behind a computer screen.

Weak sauce.
