...when you see a gorgeous-looking girl , like almost movie stars-looking, on a dating site looking for a long-term or soulmate? I always wondered why they would need to resort to places commonly seen as cesspool.
And I can't help it but to suspect something seriously wrong in their personalities/lives lol.

Almost certainly because it has a certain credence as the 'in' thing to do right now.

Boo, I'm not pointing this out to be mean or start a fight....but it seems it's time you quit internet dating.

Well, I don't think it's cesspool, but I keep hearing from girls how horrible and how low quality guys are on dating sites.

There's a few possibilities:

1.) Looks aren't everything, a lot of those super-attractive women really have nothing but their looks going for them (though in many cases, that's all they need to get them through life)
2.) I have actually been out with one or two of them. They were both there because their standards were so high that no one in the real world could meet them, so they turned to the internet world.
3.) They're just there for the same reason you are: they haven't met the right person yet and are expanding their options

Not sure if 3) without 2) is that common for them, I am talking about girls that would have plenty of suitors and fans in real life. If they enter the gym, half of guys would transform into coaches, and they enter a mall half of guys become customer service agents, and if she goes to a party, half of guys would transform into bartenders.

If all with this attention and yet she can't find a one right person yet then isn't very plausible because she's extremely picky?

It's safer to avoid them like the plague.

This is more of why I keep saying socially awkward guys should focus on appealing to a minority of women that might be compatible.......... rather than being fake in order to broaden thier appeal to the common denominator. They will never stand out otherwise.

"Dating websites are overloaded with narcissists and psychopaths". Very first comment I read under that CNN article. :lmao:

Well really when you see those "movie-star" looking girls they are usually fake; camgirls, escorts, or women trying to catch their BF or a guy in the act. Men and women want different things on those sites. Some guys are actually legit. Most guys on the site want to just get laid. But you never know unless you talk to the guys. There's nothing wrong with a woman messaging a guy first. If the subject of sex comes up soon, then you know what he's about.
Most of the times guys don't know what the hell they are doing (even when they think so, but meet him halfway on conversations. Last thing a guy wants to think is that he's boring you. Believe me I know the feeling. Lol

I sometimes look to other sites, like dA, or anime forums for girls. I wish I could find a sexy gal....

Exactly. Soccer. I think some people should try talking to people without bothering about their appearance so much. A pretty girl can terrify most men.

^I was just in the pub this evening and saw one of the prettiest girls I've seen in a looong time. Everyone was trying not to stare at her, she was proper gorgeous. I observed the guys around her, they kept trying to flirt but you could tell by their 'aura' that all of them felt that she was way out of their league. If you believe someone is out of your league, you make it so.

Although tbh, I couldn't tell you who Would be in her league. Maybe Orlando Bloom. What's a regular girl to do..
