Only recently ive discovered that i dont really need or want love. Deep down all i really need/want is some chick to cuddle up to, hug, and do stuff with. i think i went off love about a year ago. i mean if i find love in the process of doing this yippie for me, love is not a bad thing at all, im just not going to go out looking for it.
dose anyone else feel this way?

I don't NEED someone to love me to live, but I need to love someone/something to live. Whether it's a boy, or a country.

You don't need love.

I'd rather slit my throat than love someone romantically. I hate people.

I love my family, and I love animals and plants. I don't love anyone else.

Sort of true for me, because it gets really hard and makes me want to do it more times than not.
I get depressed because they don't love me as much as I want them to.

You do need love to live. But it can be the love of your family or friends too, it doesn't have to be romantic love.

It isn't abolutely necessary to have love to live, but it certainly makes life a lot more pleasent.

Yeah, I exactly feel that way. I've fallen in love LOTS of times, I've been succesful in 0 of them. I personally feel that I can live without love for a person (love for ideals and/or countries are a different topic IMHO), but I wouldn't refuse it if I had the opportunity to get a girl who loved me. Not necessary, but it would make my life so much better.

However, as you say, unless I find myself in a situation where I have a chance of 99,95% of success, I won't move a finger to seduce a girl. Been there, tried that, didn't work. And it hurts lots. It's so DAMNED difficult! If a girl falls in love with me and asks me out, I'll surely answer "yes", but if no one does that, I'll just wait here. Good enough for me.

As for ideals and patriotism, I don't think them to be exclusive for love. And, this is true, I don't think anyone can live without ideals, although some people with certain ideals certainly SHOULDN'T live...

if u r not asexual then you need to love someone to live normally and what's most important is to feel that you are LOVED (it s easy to love but it 's not easy to be loved by someone) .....I realised that from not long time ago

i am not living a normal life right now psychologically =(

I have gone without love for a very long time and I think I could continue for a long time. It sucks but you can't force love and you get nowhere by worrying about it.

IMHO I beleive life would be much better if we were all aesexual and could procreat via mitosis. Women, heartbreak, and feeling lonely have needlessly complicated my life to the point that I'm suprised I'm not mysogenist out of bitterness. Love is great when it comes around, dont get me wrong. The problem is that most women dont have the common descency to communicate directly about things I communicate and think litteraly. They dont.

I can live just fine without love, back to the topic.

I've lived without love for so long, that I don't really care. It's been 13 years for me. That teaches me for falling for a married man.
