I used to know someone (he was in his mid 40s at the time) he might have had aspergers or some type of personality disorder. More to the point he got ostreascized and hated by my dad and the rest of his friends because he said about females "women are nasty pieces of works"

This guy had a history of being treated unkindly by women because of his behaviour. He even asked one of his friends some advice about flirting with girls "how do you touch women in the the food mart". He has also stalked a girl and has been in prison and mental hospitals etc before.

Do you think his comment "women are nasty pieces of works" is true?

No. All people are individuals and can't be summed up in one sweeping statement. It would be like saying all hairdressers are nasty pieces of work, or all engineers are nasty pieces of work. It is an unreasonable, biased, untrue statement.

Why are you asking?

That didn't help at all. Unsolicited physical contact by a complete stranger, especially in a public place like a grocery store, is inappropriate.

No, but he certainly sounds like one nasty piece of work. That doesn't make me want to categorically state that "men are nasty pieces of work," either. Or that "all people with Asperger's are nasty pieces of work."

Like hurtloam said, everyone is an individual. There are good people and bad people. Classifying all of one "kind" of people as unilaterally sharing one trait (negative or positive) is uneducated and misguided, at best.

This alone ought to tell you everything you need to know about the value of this man's opinions. He is clearly quite mentally ill and incapable of rational judgement.

Not any more true than claiming that "men are nasty pieces of work".

I find this kind of threads fairly pointless.
