A lot of people think all you need to get a girlfriend is to be good looking, but from my experience it just isn't true. I'll try to upload a picture of me on here to prove that I don't look like the stereotypical pimply-faced overweight aspie. It could be that I'm trying to follow dating advice written for ugly guys, when good looking have a completely different set of rules to follow. Or women don't recognize that I have asperger syndrome because I don't have the stereotypic aspie look, so when I do something a little awkward, they think I am a sociopath.

Only immature people think that.

I have met way more a*sehole-ish good-looking men than a*sehole-ish average-looking men. The net effect has been to make me shy away from really good-looking ones. Maybe I should not be shrugging off the really good-looking ones quite so fast. :)

I don't think sociopaths are awkward at all and usually have very good social skills because they are very good at manipulating and lying to people. That's just what I've experienced.

Only immature people think that the average aspie is fat and pimply faced. Like wtf?

I am neither of those either. And neither is the majority of the pics I have seen of WP members here.

I mean, if I say the wrong thing and make them feel uncomfortable, they think I planned it.

Well, like I've always said, good looks without a brain are nothing. So, if you're smart, you shouldn't have that problem. Irene Adler said: "Brainy's the new sexy"

I look pretty decent, I guess, because I get a fair amount of unsolicited attention from girls on OKC (messages, high ratings, ect.). Plus, gay men hit on me a lot. My anxiety and introversion are what's holding me back.

Very true.

I've seen a lot of beautiful/handsome aspies (at least in my opinion), I find it quite rude to refer that one's stereotypical person with Asperger's would be pimple-faced and overweight or otherwise unattractive.
