What kind of things spontaneously remind you of lost loves?

The spontaneous recollections are the weirdest, aren't they? I have just, e.g., been yet again reminded of him when some red sauce from a pot noodle found itself on one of my fingers, and remembering that when that once happened to him he made the mistake of licking his fingers, and thus burning his tongue (due to it being made of chilli)... and, as such, this has always reminded me never to lick it when it happens to me...

(Still, seven months of transient bliss is always better than nothing... right?)

I remember a concert I went to with an ex. Whenever I hear the music of that band, I think of her.

A more pertinent question in my case would be "what doesn't remind me of him?"

I'm glad I don't think about those things often, but there are certain things that I can't help but think of that person.

Star Wars reminds me of one girl, because she was obsessed with it. It was like the only thing she truly cared about besides her dog.

The movies Tangled and The Other Guys reminds me of this other girl. The Other Guys we went to see on our first date together and had a great time. Tangled was a cute movie we enjoyed watching at the theaters a couple of times.

Watching TV shows like Family Guy & South Park remind me of my 1st girlfriend aLOT because we used to have lots of conversations about them. I quit watching shows on Comedy Central for a while after we broke up because everything reminded me of her; we met on CC's forum 11 years ago when they had one. Certain rock groups remind me of her too like Static X, Disturbed, Trapt, & Saliva because she was into it.

Reading various post here on WP remind me of my 2nd girlfriend because we met on this forum thou I'm not sure if she's around anymore because I haven't came across & noticed post by her in aLong time but I'm kind of sporadic with reading post & replies so who knows. Some rock pop groups like Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, OK Go, & Good Charlotte remind me of her too because she was into that.

Some conversations about various things with my current girlfriend which is my 3rd remind me of my exes because we had similar conversations, had an issue about something me & my current are discussing ect.

I was obsessed with both my exes when we were together & obsessed with things after till I got in another relationship so lots of things remind me of them.

This.

It doesn't really bother me since for the most part, I've forgotten she existed. Was a big thing for (us) so I typically just avoid said musician.

Also - the place where I met another. It's a non-factor since I've since moved in the past year, though. (for unrelated reasons)

For me, it's anything even peripherally connected to her. Yet the things they like are also things I like, so that complicates things.

I hear you on that, Eureka! The longer you are together, the more shared experiences there are. I used to cry in the Walmart  & other ridiculous places.

The girl who asked me to my junior prom is a model now.

I think of her every time I hear "Centerfold" by the J. Geils Band.

Gobstoppers. Her favorite candy, I bought quite a few of them to give to her. Haven't gotten any for her in a while now.

True Love Waits and Lull by Radiohead.
They remind me of his broken promises.
