What does it take a guy to attract a beautiful (or simply average) Italian woman? I am not ready for dating yet but for reference, is anyone here in a multi-ethnic relationship or have?

We're all the same species therefore it takes the same thing.
Women are interested in safety, security (not the same thing), and status.
There is, naturally and evolutionarily, an increased attraction towards non-local opposite genders.

Are you planning to go to Italy? Italy has quite a LOT of culture. Maybe take an interest in some of it.

I thought that it was mostly the women from Northern Europe who liked to go and romance Italian men.

Maybe see whether Mr. Berlusconi's example is one to follow. I mean, if that old coot can get some hot Italian chicks, then why couldn't anybody?

I'm guessing that you've never been to Italy. The problem is that about 5% of Italian women retain their looks into middle and old age, Sophia Loren being a good example. The rest of them get old and somewhat rounder very quickly, it's a combination of diet and the constant sunshine on the skin.

Experience has taught me that women from anywhere in the world are attracted by two things in a man, confidence and a sense of humor. Present these two attributes and you should be good to go, although a working knowledge of Italian might help

You would be competing with the most handsome men in the world.

According to the prejudices of the northern area, about italian men: They are good for holiday flirt, but not dating material. ^^ According to prejudices, the typical italian men is lazy about work, jealous, a cheater you will always need to have an eye on, and pretty ouddated when it comes to their oppinions about relationships. So holiday-flirt for two weeks: Yes. But they are not knows here for their romance-capabilities. ^^

I can't keep on thinking of how in high school the Italian girls had more hair on their arms than I did.

Sorry, badly phrased, Ms Loren is of course one of the lucky 5% of Italian women who have retained their looks.

And yeah, I'd forgotten about the hairy armpits as well 8O

What you mean apart from not being a former head of government, multi-millionaire media tycoon and have a ton of mafia connections?
