Is OKCupid affiliated with WP, or are they just a popular dating site for aspies? :P

I feel like okcupid isn't actually all the great for aspies, or at least not for me. It's hard to flirt irl, much less via text.

OKCupid is a free dating site so it's fairly popular. I have had no luck on the site, though...

Well, by way of a reply here's a quick and dirty review of the dating sites I've been on:

OK Cupid
Free, effective, well moderated, scammers are quickly dealt with and a matching system that works.

Plenty of Fish
Free but I never really felt at home, there were also quite a lot of scammers.

Metrodate
Wall to wall scammers and moderators that don't care. Avoid this site.

Aspie Affection
Free but not so good as the membership is somewhat limited. Anyway, some of us are looking for a relationship with an NT.

Geeklove
Join and you'll find that all of the useful functions are not free. You'll also get lots of spam from them in your Inbox.

It was jokingly affiliated with WP on april 1st and people didnt take it too well.

Its just a free dating website that has become somewhat popular for some reason

There are several similar sites but users claim the quality is higher at Okcupid(even though most people sign up on as many free dating sites as posible)

I'm planning to join okcupid because I've heard it's popular with young and gay people.

ha, i did not know this. I'm on okcupid under the username melted_charcoal
And all the time that i have been there i have only had two messages from people on the spectrum. Both lovely people, but one i didn't have any attraction to and the other was a bit too far away for me and i prefer people with cars because i like visiting places, but not via public transport as it's not enjoyable for me and just a time riddled with crippling anxiety and overstimulation.

I did OKCupid because it was the only free site with a decent amount of people that weren't off the wall crazy *cough* POF *cough* and I just cancelled my account because it seems like nobody on there is interested in a serious relationship. The women there were generally decent people but it seemed to be full of 25-35 year old save the world hipsters/career students who have no idea what they want to do with their lives. I'm not looking to get married in a month or anything crazy but it seems like nobody took that site the least bit seriously.

If only I realized that my eHarmony experience was actually REALLY good for a male and I should have pursued everyone reasonable rather than wait around for the perfect gal to drop in my lap. I would go back if not for the fact it's WAY too bloody expensive especially for a Bachelor who lives alone.

Hi,I'm also signed up for okcupid.com as well as other dating sites and I've only had a few responses on this particular site from gals that I wrote to first. So far the site most successful for me is AYI.com in that I've gotten the most responses to icebreaker questions on there than any other site, and am thinking of using EHarmony.com this summer, but I'm also looking to use some singles meetups as well, from meetup.com
