I was dancing with a girl once in a nightclub. The girl then saw one of my other male friends and she sought of pushed me away slightly and ran over to him.

What do you think my female friends attitude is towards me judging by her actions?

You were only her dance partner; he was her boyfriend.

He wasn’t her boyfriend

If he wasn't then, then he will be soon.

I'd say she includes you in the group, sees you as a friend but doesn't fancy you. She's a potential ally to your cause so take it on the chin and not to heart. Keep dancing.

After reading domineekee's response, I'd have to say that was the best opinion of the situation. That post was actually empowering and socially sound. It was the kindest sort of uplifting truth EVER. :) You two should meet being that you might actually be able to. It looks like you're both from the UK. Maybe far but better still - maybe near. :D

So to win your approval of "Best Opinion", I must give advice that is empowering, socially sound, and kind ...

... but not necessarily accurate.

Who said popularity involved an honest approach?
On the contrary, obviously.

True, fnord but sometimes to look at a situation in a less negative way is a like a breath of fresh air. domineekee's view of the situation was like oxygen. When we always react negatively, we literally suck the life out of any situation that is not necessarily in our favor. Better to keep dancing - theoretically. That advice was very therapeutic and empowering. If you don't give yourself unshakable standing, then who will? (that's what domineekee did)

Its called being friendzoned

Life is like a box of chocolates for this girl, she doesn't have one type to choose from, she clearly knows she has options...

Most relationships are rather superficial at that age, imo.

Yes I remember the old school playground politics.

My best friend on Monday will not be the same person by the end of the week.

There is nothing "natural" looking back at you.
