For those who feel hopeless about understanding women on dates, I just want to let everyone know I had a date tonight and I actually understood her desire to be kissed and nailed it! Let's just say it was a highly successful date beyond my wildest dreams but the point is that I picked up on her cues to be kissed then to be *ahem* picked up and actually saw it 4 different times on top of that! Yes, a clueless aspie picked up on nonverbal cues! There is hope for everyone!

Impossible!

Oh, and congrats, dude :D
I remember the feel of having that kind of date the first time.

Did you set a second date?

Also, don't attempt too much to kiss on a first date.

I even told her I don't kiss or get intimate on the first date (and I meant it). I guess I broke my own rule  I can't believe I actually saw her subconsciously take down her guard about an hour in and then saw her make that quick motion to her lips that I was told about.

I don't think I need to worry about a second date. I even offered her to stay over but she didn't have any work clothes with her. She even told me how she was intimidated by how "perfect" my profile was and joked that her mission is to grill my coworkers to find the dirt. I wished her luck! I'm still in disbelieve I read her perfectly and she was the one who struggled to read me! Imagine that! The trick I believe was that I dressed VERY well and went in completely detached from the outcome.

Yep...that "detachment" was key.

That's really awesome to hear. I haven't had much success myself.

It's great to hear that! If you can post the details of the cues you read and how you knew you read them correctly that would be very interesting.

She had her right arm on the table for the first hour and I watched as she slowly took it down and began to lean in more and more. I also noticed her cheeks and eyes start to "glow" although no dilation. After a few hours, she started to VERY quickly glance down at her lips and tilt her head towards me for a total of 4 times that I noticed. I just decided to confidently invite her to my place and once there after a few minutes grabbed her and kissed her Hollywood style and she showed her French side  I guess on top of reading the cues I just went with my gut: she was laughing at my jokes, smiling and stayed at the pub for over 3 hours talking with me.

So I take it you like her, eh?

You kind of forgot to mention that part, but I'm reading between the lines ;)

Do learn to say that. Otherwise it reads like a school exercise, not a relationship. Although certainly I am glad to see you so happy at getting it right. And, well, just happy :)

Best of luck to you.

Congratulations! This was a date from eharmony I take it? You work fast, my friend. I'm still emailing back and forth with allegedly interested ladies. Thanks for the encouragement!
