I'd like a little insight into this situation, if you wouldn't mind:

I've been involved with an old friend for some time. Its kind of on and off. We'll be going out for a while & things seem to be going well & we're getting closer to becoming something serious. Then, suddenly, she doesn't return my texts or anything & I hear nothing from her for weeks or months. Then, out of nowhere, she reestablishes contact.
i've tolerated this for a while. i have issues, too, so i was willing to work with her on it. i tried asking her why she'd just vanish when we were together last & she got very evasive. i'm really tired of her game. i used to have feelings for her. i really don't anymore.
i spent a lot of coin on her, too. Now, i don't think that really entitles me to much, aside from a little consideration, a little more communication.
The next time i see her will probably be the last, unless she's willing to talk about what's going on. For the most part, i think i'm right, but there's a nagging sense of me missing something because i have Asperger's. Sometimes, i wonder if between all this on/off nonsense i got downgraded from boyfriend material & put back in the bro zone where i had been for a while. Thoughts?

Yep, she's stringing you along as a "beta orbiter" because of the attention and money you give her. If she was really into you, you would be together.

i've known her for too long. She wouldn't do that.
