Last night I sent a message, via the Facebook Messenger app, to a girl whom I like. I told her that I think we'd be a good match for prom because we share the same zodiac sign, plus she's attractive, smart, kind, and sweet. She and I occasionally message each other on Facebook and I've already told her about my autism. She didn't know that I had it before I told her and during freshman year, she was in my science class, so she's been around me in person before. I guess my autism must be lighter than I think thus there's almost no point into telling people about it...? Anyways, the girl said that she doesn't think she'll be able to commit to such a thing yet (considering that prom is practically 11 months away) so I got turned down nicely. I asked her if she wanted to be my date last year for sophomore semi-formal, but I was ONE day too late considering that she asked a guy. She claims that she's flattered by my offers but I got turned down by her twice already. Should I wait until, around October, and then try asking the same girl considering it'll be closer to the month of prom (May), or should I try asking someone else? I guess it's not a good idea to ask someone to prom almost a year before...?
